Welcome back. I wanted to take this opportunity at the end of 2021 to express my appreciation for all the support that people have given me to this point in my Daily Reflections project. Now, it might seem, since I've finished the lectionary series, that this is the end of the project, but it's somewhere near about two-thirds of the way through.
I've still got to do all of the gaps that are left behind, some chapters at the end of the Book of Judges, lots of chapters in Leviticus, Numbers, and Joshua, and then large chunks of the Books of 1st and 2nd Chronicles, not to mention many of the Psalms. This is going to take me at least to the middle of the next year. But at this point, it feels like a point of arrival.
And to have reached this point is very much down to all the people that have been behind this project from the very outset. This has been a strange couple of years for most of us, and it's been a peculiar couple of years for me in particular. This project has taken so much of my energy and time, at least seven hours every single day.
And at this point, it is just good to have less of the pressure on. I can fill the gaps in my own time. So this next month, I'm going to be spending most of the time here in New York, which I've been thoroughly enjoying over the last few days, and hopefully just getting my breath for the next stage of the project.
Hopefully by the end of all of this, there will be a written form of the entire commentary on Scripture, chapter by chapter. And I'm very much looking forward to having it in print. When you are just speaking the words and recording them, or just writing down notes onto a computer, it doesn't feel like the same solid achievement than when you have a book in front of you or a series of volumes, as this will be.
So I'd appreciate prayer for the coming year. And just wanted to encourage you all, if you've not already committed to doing so, to take up some sort of Bible reading project in the next year. Whatever it is, it really is rewarding.
In my experience, it has been something that has helped me grow in my trust and understanding of Scripture.
And also, the experience of sharing something like this with people is really rewarding. People bring different questions and insights to the text that can inform us.
And I hope that you have that experience in this next year. As for me, I've got other plans in the works at the moment. I'm hoping to do a lot more occasional podcasts in the next year on various subjects of interest to my audience.
If you would like to support my work, same ways as usual, Patreon or PayPal. And if you're interested, there's also a Discord group for those people who support my work in that way. Thank you very much for listening.
For all of your attention over the last year, I do produce a lot of material. And so people who have been following it through in large quantities over the last year, I am very appreciative for your time and all the attention that you've given.
Thank you so much.
God bless you in 2022. And hopefully be seeing quite a bit more of you in different podcasts and other things that I have planned. God bless.
