Welcome back. I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you all a milestone that I reached this morning. This morning was the 100th daily biblical reflection for 2021.
It was the final chapter of the book of 2 Timothy, and with that, I have produced reflections on every single chapter of the New Testament. And this really does feel like quite a personal achievement, and I wanted to share with you some of my joy at this moment, and also to thank all of you who have supported me to this point. So many people have been behind this project, and you just see and hear me, but there are a great many people whose names I can't list here who have been behind this in many different ways, who have been praying for it, who have been financially supporting it, who have been encouraging me along the way.
And you know who you are. Thank you so much. I'm looking forward to complete the rest of the project.
It will take me to around March of 2022, I think. In the rest of this year, I'm going to complete the lectionary texts, and then after that, I want to fill in all the gaps, those weird chapters in Leviticus, those parts of 1 Chronicles that are just genealogies that everyone skips over, but you shouldn't just skip over, and I'm going to try and produce reflections on all of those. Other things that you might be interested here, if you do not already know, if you go to audio.alastairadversaria.com, you will see all of my reflections for 2020 at this point, and then 2021 gradually being uploaded.
They're all available in an easily searchable and attractive visual format. You can see it sorted out by biblical chapter. There's also a playlist there for all of my daily biblical reflections.
You might also be interested to hear that I have been in serious correspondence with a publisher about the possibility of making my reflections into the form of a complete commentary upon the whole Bible. Now, this is something that will take a bit longer, but it's exciting to think that this might actually make its way into print too. It will not mean that anything is taken off the internet.
All of the material will be still accessible, downloadable, and searchable, and please share it with as many people as you can. The whole project has been to make reflections upon scripture, commentary upon scripture, accessible to a wide audience, to encourage people to read and explore their Bibles, to give people the knowledge of just how exciting the biblical text is. So please share that, and hopefully you are looking forward as I am to the possibility of actually having a hard copy of this.
If you would like to support the continuing project, then please consider doing so using my Patreon or PayPal. The links to that are below. And also, if you would be interested buying material for my research, you can do so using my Amazon wishlist.
Again, the link to that is below. Those who support me on a regular basis, about $10 a month or more, can also be members of my Discord group. And within that, we have all sorts of interesting conversations, questions, and discussions about scripture.
We share projects that we're working on, prayer points, pictures, all these sorts of things. So if you'd be interested in being a member of that, it's available for all supporters at that rate. Thank you so much for the time that you've given to listen to this.
It does take a lot of time to follow these through. And if you have found them helpful, that is a great encouragement to me. I know how much there is out there that's competing with my work for your time.
And I hope that my work has been rewarding for you. And I look forward to going through the rest of the Old Testament with you this year. God bless, and thank you for your continued listening.
